Before a large crowd in an outdoor pulpit, St. Vincent Ferrer holds up a large hand crucifix that represents the subject of his address. He wears the habit of the Dominicans, aka the "Order of Preachers." Above his head is the flame that is his attribute. In the foreground one young man proves to be less attentive than the others.
